This Privacy Policy describes how Smileguard collects, uses and protects your information when you use our mobile application Smileguard.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy
1. Information We Collect
a) Account Information
When you sign up, we collect:
- Your mobile number (used to send a One-Time Password (OTP) for verification and login)
- Your name and email address (if you choose to provide them during profile setup)
b) Automatically Collected Information
We use Firebase (by Google) to help operate and improve the App. Through Firebase, we may automatically collect:
- Device information (device model, operating system, unique device identifiers)
- App usage data (screens visited, features used, session duration)
- Crash logs and performance data
- Approximate location (derived from IP address, if applicable)
c) Information You Provide Directly
Any additional information you voluntarily submit through forms, support requests, or in-app content.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Verify your identity via OTP and allow you to log in securely
- Create and manage your account
- Provide, operate and maintain the App’s features
- Analyze usage trends to improve app performance and user experience (via Firebase Analytics)
- Detect, prevent and fix technical issues or crashes
- Communicate with you regarding updates, support or service-related notices

3. OTP-Based Authentication
We do not use or store passwords. Instead, login is performed using a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number via SMS. This OTP is time-limited and used solely for verifying your identity.

Your data is stored on secure servers, and we implement reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

We retain your account information for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account Account Deletion policy your personal data will be deleted or anonymized with in 30 days, except where retention is required by law
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent to data processing (which may limit App functionality)

8. Children's Privacy
